Christ Church Preschool is partnered with the International Rescue Committee to connect with families who are in need of early childhood education opportunities.  Our school provides scholarships to children from this community.

Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee is a leading, non-sectarian, non-profit organization providing emergency relief, protection, rehabilitation assistance, resettlement services, and advocacy for refugees and victims of oppression or violent conflict. Charlottesville’s office, off of Market Street downtown, is one of 22 offices across the United States working to ensure that new arrivals to our country have food, shelter, and clothing, as well as helping them move towards self-sufficiency. Families come from around the world, most of often from Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Burma, and Bhutan.
